No. You can draw cards, turn them over and read the whole deck without one, on the web and on the watch apps. An account adds one thing: My Deck, the cards you keep.

mettā cards are free to read, open-source, and online — forever.

Yes. On an iPhone, open metta.cards in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On a Mac, in Safari choose File → Add to Dock. Once you have opened it, it keeps working without signal.

Tap the bookmark beside Draw. Kept cards live in My Deck. Keeping requires a free account.

On the App Store: mettā for Apple Watch. It runs on the watch alone. Requires Apple Watch with watchOS 11 or later.

No. The watch app is a standalone app that downloads the entire deck once and keeps it on the watch.

The same card for everyone, changing once a day, at the same moment worldwide.

1. On the watch app, press and hold the screen to open the settings menu. Select Account and press Link. The watch shows a code of eight letters, like BCDF-GHJK.
2. On your phone or computer, sign in at metta.cards and go to metta.cards/link.
3. Type the code and tap Link this device. Codes last ten minutes and work once.

The watch signs itself in within a few seconds.

A third choice appears on the watch, My Deck: only the cards you keep. Keep a card on the wrist by tapping the bookmark beneath it, or keep it on metta.cards. Either way, the two stay in step, and the complication walks through your kept cards.

On the watch app, press and hold the screen to open the settings menu, then Account → Unlink. Or on metta.cards: Profile → Linked devices → Unlink. Either way, the watch forgets your account.

Delete your account at metta.cards/profile. A linked watch loses its link on its next check and goes back to the full deck and card of the day.
